It's about time I update our schedule again!
Members of Snakes Rising take part in the "Frolickin' Friday Evenings" drum circle every week at 7PM. At Aquarius Bookstore on Main Street in downtown Cincinnati. Call (513) 721-5193 for information. The circle will continue into the cool evenings of Autumn. Bring a drum and join us. Dancers wear your finery!
September 13th, Snakes Rising is once again featured at Cincinnati's Pagan Pride Day event in Covington's Goebel Park. With special guest: The Faery King, who has agreed to grace us with a veil dance! Stay tuned for details as to performance times.
September 14th, Snakes Rising is featured at the Vinoklet Winery's Annual Wine Tasting Festival. We'll perform our unique blend of Mediterranean Music from 1-3 PM on the veranda. Then you can visit our booth to buy Snakes Rising t-shirts, CDs and Bumper Stickers as you enjoy some great artwork by Snakes Rising supporter, Richard Cisneros. October 4th, Snakes Rising at the Oxford Earth Religions Awareness fest hosted by the Miami University Pagan Student Alliance (MUPSA.) Be sure to join us all afternoon! Jhana and Lisa have an exciting goddess dance workshop planned, and Snakes Rising performs during the late afternoon. For details regarding this event contact the organizer at: JhanaMay@hotmail.com.
From October 12th through 26th, three Sundays from 2-4 pm, Mike Manor of the RCC will be offering a series on Canaanite Ritual Patterns at St. John's Unitarian Church in Cincinnati. The ritual dances of these pre-biblical people are likely the origins of many of the mid-east dances we celebrate today. Don't miss this exciting series!!!!
Snakes Rising member, Lisa Clark, will offer ongoing classes in "Expression Through Movement for Women" and a New Moms Belly Circle/ Advanced Belly Circle this fall at the Healing Touch Center of Cincinnati. (513) 321-4325 or ltbury@earthlink.net for information.
Snakes Rising member Susan Hergert offers a Pregnancy Belly Circle this fall. Six Sundays beginning October 19th. Focus on "Belly Dance for Optimal Fetal Positioning." There is no class on November 16th, although all participants are welcome to join the ICAN meeting that day from 5-7 PM.
